Pudalangai poriyal in tamil / Snake gourd poriyal in Tamil / Pudalangai kootu in Tamil



Pudalangai kadalai paruppu kootu is very easy and very tasty. Childrens also like this dish

Ingredients:
Pudalagai / Snake Gourd – 1 medium deseeded and chopped finely
Bengal gram / Kadala paruppu – 1/2 cup washed
Onion – 1 (chopped finely)
Turmeric powder – 1 pinch
Oil – 2 tsp
Dry red chili -1
Green chilis-2
Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste

Method:

Pressure cook kadalai paruppu with turmeric powder in enough water for upto 1 whistles half cooked.

Heat oil in a pan, season with items given for seasoning and now add onion saute until translucent. and add pudalangai mix it well. add required salt. pudalangai cook for 3 minutes.
Next add cooked kadalai paruppu and add 1/4 cup water, bring it to boil. Switch off the stove when it is cooked completely or when you reach the desired consistency.
Pudalangai kootu is ready and serve hot with white rice with puli kulambu.
