Aloo Kofta Korma by Poonam – Mughlai dish (Main Course)



Aloo Kofta Korma –

Ingredients for Koftas –
2 tblsps Cottage Cheese (Grated Paneer)
2 potatoes (boiled & mashed)
Salt to taste
1 tsp green chilly paste
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste
2 tblsps finely cut onion
2 tblsps boiled green peas (mutter)
1 tblsps coriander leaves (Dhaniya)
1/4 tsp cumin powder (Jeera powder)
2 tblsps corn flour

Method for koftas-
Mix the above ingredients. Mould the mixture into small balls.
dust them with corn flour and deep fry till Golden color.

Ingredients for preparing onion paste (white paste)
3 big onions
2 tblsps cashew nuts
1 tblsp magaz seeds

Method for onion paste –
1)Pressure cook the above ingredients upto 3 whistles. When it cools down, grind into a smooth paste.

Ingredients for gravy –
1 tblsp ghee
1 tblsp oil
1 tblsp kasuri methi
1 tsp heaped green chilly paste
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp cumin powder (Jeera)
2 tsps kitchen king masala
1 cup white paste (which we prepared)
1 cup tomato puree
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (Haldi)
1 cube grated cheese
2 tblsps cream
2 tblsps coriander leaves

Method for gravy –
1) Heat oil and ghee in a pan. Add kasuri methi, ginger paste, garlic paste, chilly paste and saute lightly. Add salt, jeera powder, kitchen king masala. Mix properly.
2) Add white paste and saute properly for 2 minutes.
3) Add tomato puree, turmeric powder and mix well. Add grated cheese and saute for 1 minute. Add 1 cup water and bring the gravy to boil.
4) Add cream, coriander leaves. Mix well and switch off the gas.
5) Serve hot in a serving plate and place the koftas on the top.
